Located in the Plaza de Regla, today it houses the headquarters of the bishopric of León. This building dates from the 14th century, and when the apse of León Cathedral was finished, a two-storey structure in stone masonry was built from side to side of the street. On the top floor there was a corridor that connected the bishop's palace with the cathedral (through the missing treasure tower). Until the 17th century, new structures and premises were added to the door (puerta principalis sinistra), modifying it to form a conglomerate of buildings. After the demolition of Puerta Obispo in 1910, all the buildings hidden behind the door were lost, except for some elements.
The Museo de la Semana Santa de León, located in theSeminario Mayor building in front of the Cathedral, which is expected to be inaugurated before the end of 2019, will not have free access for its visitors.
