It is the oldest church in the capital of the tenth century, built under the reign of Ramiro II El Grande, with the particularity of building a monastery for his daughter Elvira to live there. From the original Greek cross plan, only one transept with semicircular arches and a gallonvault remains. It was abandoned in the High Middle Ages and continued as a church until today, attached to the parish of San Martín, in the heart of the Barrio Húmedo.
