It is the medieval heart of the city that receives the name for theabundance of typical inns in which to debut a good wine and thefamous tapas of our city, among other reasons.
It is not clear the origin of the term tapa, to refer to the food thataccompanies the drink; some maintain that it used to cover the glasswith wine with bread or ham to avoid that external agents entered andothers maintain that the food covered the effects of alcohol.
At night it also becomes the walking area par excellence with a greatvariety of styles and musical atmospheres.
